A Brand Built to Make a House Full of Devices Feel Like One Product
Most smart homes are a pile of unrelated hardware, speaker, thermostat, doorbell, none speaking the same language. NOVAIR needed to be the thing holding it together. American Design Hub built a confident mark, a dark technical palette with one accent color, and a site structured around lighting, climate, security.
Challenge
Make Dozens of Devices Feel Like One Brand, Not a Pile of Mismatched Gadgets.
Smart home shoppers already own a mix of speakers, switches, thermostats, and cameras from different manufacturers. A new entrant needed a visual identity confident enough to feel like the hub tying that mixed together not another disconnected product competing for shelf space.
Our direction
A roofline and a sunrise, built into one mark
The logo pairs a chevron roofline with a rising orange arc beneath it reading as both a house and a sunrise, a home that's alive and responsive rather than just wired. Deep navy-black backgrounds carry that mark everywhere, with orange reserved as the one accent that shows up consistently: in the arc, in call-to-action text, in the glow around signage.
A roofline-and-arc symbol built to hold its shape from an app icon to a booth-sized trade-show wall without losing legibility.
A dark, near-black foundation with a single orange accent, carried from the app splash screen through the website to campaign signage.
Project process
From Hub to Home
Discovery
We looked at how people actually accumulate smart home devices piecemeal, across different brands and what a new entrant needs to feel like the thing tying it all together.
Direction
Positioning locked around a dark, technical palette lifted by a single orange accent, confident enough to sit next to hardware from any other brand.
Identity
The roofline-and-arc mark was built to read cleanly at app-icon size and trade-show-wall size without redrawing it for either.
Application
The system extended across the website, mobile app, and campaign signage one identity, whether it's on a phone screen or a booth wall.
Digital expression
A Smart Home Website, Organized by Room
The homepage opens with 'A Smarter Home Starts Here,' organized by routine, Lighting, Climate, Security, Blinds, Scenes, Music the same categories shown on NOVAIR's own smart hub interface, backed by a 'Discover NOVAIR' call to action and companion app.
Final outcome
One brand holding an entire smart home together
NOVAIR now has an identity built for what comes next: a mark, a palette, and a digital experience confident enough to anchor a home full of otherwise unrelated devices, from the website down to the app in someone's pocket.
