A Beauty E-Commerce Experience Built Like an Editorial, Not a Storefront
AiR Hair Care set out to feel like a beauty investment, not an appliance purchase. American Design Hub built the brand identity and e-commerce website around that shift: editorial photography instead of clinical shots, a palette pulled from skincare, not electronics. Every section moves like a beauty magazine, hero image, collection story, product grid. The signature hair dryer line runs in four pastel colorways with gold trim, styled like jewelry, not a spec sheet.
Challenge
Sell hair tools like a beauty brand, not an appliance store
Hair dryers and styling tools usually get sold the way electronics do wattage, specs, a bulleted feature list. AIR needed the opposite: a store where a hair dryer earns its place next to a skincare serum, without ever feeling like a gadget page that wandered into the wrong category.
Our direction
A Logo Quiet Enough to Let the Product Speak
The wordmark is deliberately quiet a lowercase "air," with a single star standing in for the dot on the "i." That restraint is the point: the brand doesn't compete with the product photography, it frames it. Warm coral, soft blue, and warm cream carry the same calm the products promise to deliver.
A minimal lowercase wordmark with one star accent, built to sit quietly in a corner of any page without pulling focus from the product.
A soft coral-blue-cream palette and editorial photography direction, applied consistently from the homepage hero through collection pages to individual product listings.
Project process
From Mood Board to Product Grid
Discovery
We compared how premium hair-tech brands photograph and merchandise a category most retailers still treat as small appliances.
Direction
Positioning locked around a soft coral-blue-cream palette and editorial photography that treats each hair dryer like a styling accessory, not a gadget.
Identity
The lowercase "air" wordmark and star accent were built to stay quiet on every page, so product photography carries the brand instead of competing with it.
Application
The system rolled out across the homepage, seasonal collection pages, and product grids one mood, every page of the store.
Digital expression
A store built to be scrolled, not just searched
The homepage opens with a sensual hero image and 'AiR Dreams Come True,' introducing a brand designed for every generation of hair care. A 'New Collection' carousel and a 'New This Month' grid of four signature hair dryers lead into an editorial section on self-care, with a live wishlist and cart total keeping shopping one step behind the inspiration.
Final outcome
A Digital Beauty Destination, Not Just Another Beauty Storefront
The result is more than an e-commerce site; it's a space where innovation, confidence, and timeless design come together, so browsing for a hair dryer feels closer to reading a beauty editorial than comparing spec sheets.
